Dear friends: In recent years we have seen significant growth of MILSET, as a great family. Together we have worked to face big challenges and as a result, MILSET is active not only in many countries but in the hearts of children, youth, teachers and organizations. Of course, this growth requires greater responsibilities to ensure that MILSET emerges as a leading, international, non-governmental organization for engaging youth through scientific and technological activities. That is why the, MILSET Board of Directors is working diligently on a n a new 2014 – 2019 strategic plan, which means that the strategies to guide the organization for the next five years are being defined. Two of the main objectives of this strategies are to assure that MILSET becomes one of the most important and relevant organization in the world in terms of its contribution to youth by offering scientific and technological experiences; and to position Expo-Sciences International as the most prestigious non-competitive science event for youth in the world. To achieve this, the strategic plan focuses on five strategic imperatives:  Develop a clear statement of MILSET’S program and event philosophy; Develop quality standards for MILSET programs, and events; Develop a structure and process to govern MILSET branding of members, programs and events; Develop a clear statement of the value and benefit MILSET offers member organizations; and Develop a clear statement of benefits available to sponsors for each program or activity. To define and work on the new MILSET Strategic Plan is a major achievement of our organization, I want to thank Reni Barlow for his leadership in this important project and to all the members from the Board of Directors that have been involved. | The 10th MILSET Expo-Sciences Europe has closed on a great edition. Over 300 participants originated from nearly 25 countries gathered at the University of Žilina in Žilina in the North-West of Slovakia. MILSET Europe Executive Committee meetings and the MILSET Europe General Assembly 2014 were held in Žilina, Slovakia at the Expo-Sciences Europe. From 14th to 15th September 2014, Milset Asia Office had a me meeting with her Excellency, the Minister of Education M. Madiha Bent Ahmad Al-Shibaniya from the Sultanate of Oman. At this important meeting there were discussed several mutual cooperation issues between Oman and MILSET.
