In today’s society, digital technologies are more than ever inescapable. They impact on every aspect of our lives, challenge our traditional model of education and totally redesign our vision of the future.
For some years, CIRASTI, the French movement of Expo-sciences, had initiated an ambitious and uncompetitive Digital Expo-sciences project based on two main components: a web 2D/3D platform and a support program involving schools, universities, science-clubs and fabrication laboratories (Fab-labs) providing young scientists with tutoring, guidance and technical assistance.
The approach aims at facilitating projects production and improvement by creating a supportive, educational and relational environment for young people based on the use of digital tools, while also creating bridges between the virtual world and real life. Despite the progress made so far, the challenges ahead remain impressive.
After Abu DHABI ESI2013, Zilina ESE 2014 and more than 14 cities across France, we will be very honoured to share with you our vision of the future of Expo-sciences during Brussels ESI 2015.
